Belgium
Belgium's viticultural history dates back to Roman times. In recent years, the country's wine industry has experienced significant growth. As of 2022, there were 259 registered winegrowers, both professional and amateur, cultivating approximately 695 hectares (1,717 acres) of vineyards. This expansion has led to a record production of 3 million liters of wine in 2022, doubling the output of the previous year. Despite this growth, many Belgian winegrowers operate on a small scale, with only a few owning more than ten hectares of land.
