Curaçao

A Caribbean island renowned for its vibrant culture and stunning landscapes, Curaçao has ventured into the realm of winemaking. The short-lived Curacao Winery's last harvest was in 2016 due to legal issues with local government. This closure follows a protracted legal dispute with Curaçao Airport Holding (CAH), which began in 2017 and centered on the forced cessation of the winery's operations at Hato. The Dutch Supreme Court ruled in favor of the winery, obligating CAH to compensate for the damages incurred. Prior to this closure, the winery offered tours through its vineyard and a wine terrace with views of the vineyard and the sea. However, as of now, these services are not available.
